New Apartment!

So everyone's blogs say its been about 5 months since I've updated.. Crazy. I guess there should be alot for me to update about.. but there isn't! School is the same, work is the same, my life is about the same. Carson is is preschool now.. He's having a really hard time just letting me leave. Once I sneak out he's ok though.. I think! I really love living on my own now. I love my new apartment, although I miss seeing Mark and Emily over at our house. I'm blank now.. hah.
Tonight Carson and I went for a walk around our apartments. You'd think they could make the halls smell a little better.. Once you get to my apartment and open the door it sure smells good though! Its really fun just being on my own. I feel like I'm actually a mom.. and maybe a little more independent... although mom and dad still help me out a lot. Poor parents, they'll never get rid of us!

I miss my baby

So the last few weeks I've been looking at old pictures and videos I have saved on my computer. I should probably stop because It makes me sad. There are times where I wish Carson was still little again. I REALLY miss it. I miss my baby. I still get to hold him and read him books, and give him kisses, but its not the same. I miss the little noises they make or how they try to say words.. when you're the only one that can understand them. Well... I guess its time for a new one. :) Just kidding. I'm going to put a few videos up just for fun. I also found a really cute one of Hadlee.

The Living Planet

I didn't have to work today and thought it would be fun to take Carson somewhere. Since the movie last weekend was a bad idea, I decided to take him to the Living Planet museum in Sandy. It was actually really fun. Our favorite was the octopus.. man they're UGLY. But kinda cool to see.. Carson was expecting sharks and "folfins" when I told him we were going to see an aquarium with fish. He did like the big sharks hanging over us for decoration though. I really want to take Carson to Sea World this summer, so we'll see.
Carson really doesn't like pictures lately... I think its cause I get annoying with the camera. What can I say? I'm a mom :)

I feel the need to update my blog lately.. it's great! I just wish there was something to "update" about. Earlier today some of us went to see the movie, Bedtime stories. It was really cute.. just hard to sit through it with the Carson! He's too crazy to sit for that long. I kept hearing " I have to pee mom".. an excuse to get up. You'll all be happy to know that he's potty trained! I think I can officially say it. He's done really good. Its annoying to have to keep reminding him but he does good for the most part.

A few months ago I started letting Carson use our computer. I'd put the game on for him once in awhile and he'd play. Lindzi gave me the website Starfall.com. Carson loved playing it. It's a ABC game that really helped him learn new words. I the last week Carson has learned about history and bookmarks on the computer. I'm guessing he's watched Jenny's kids play and figured it out. The other day I walked in the computer room to check on him and I found him playing this new game. It was so funny to me how much he knew.. He taught ME how to play! Kids are too smart.

Shrimp Party

The other day we had our shrimp party at Aunt Tays house. Although I will NEVER eat sea food.. other than clams, I still went. I even asked Carson if he wanted to try it.. He declined. It was fun though. It was good to see everyone. There were some of the family that wasn't there.. and we missed them. Maybe next year :) Here are a few pictures.

I really never know what to write about here. I could talk about the last few weeks but I'll probably start to cry. It just makes you realize how important family really is. I wish I were closer to some. Jack and Lindzi have such a cute family. Their little girls are so funny. It's been good to see them around more lately. I miss all the kids in Michigan and can't wait to see them. From just looking at pictures, everyone has changed so much. Especially Kohl and Luke. Christmas will be fun. I'm really excited the whole family will be back. Even if It gets crazy here.. I really miss it.
The last few weeks I haven't really been to school. So I'm a little behind. But tomorrow we're learning how to use color products on hair. This is what I've been waiting for! So I'm kind of excited. Maggie Jaques got married yesterday, and I was one of her bridesmaids. It was a really pretty wedding. It was fun getting to see her get married, and getting to be a part of her wedding. She's the only cousin that I've stayed really close with, and probably always will. Carson is doing good. He's still getting bigger and he's learning new things all the time. When he wants something he usually says " Me wants chocolate milk". We finally got him to start saying "I". Sometimes I hear " I me wants chocolate milk", but he's learning! My hours at work got cut.. I'm working on average about 7 hours a week. Randy just got layed off from his job.. but hey, gas is cheap now!

Grandpa Helgesen's funeral was really nice.. everyone said such great things about him. We'll all miss him. Here are a few pictures...

I'm trying to spend a little more time figuring this blog out. At least I got the background figured out! Today in school I learned how to do a blunt cut. We just used our fake heads so it wasn't too bad, but still pretty stressful! I started thinking what I've gotten myself into.. I'm sure it will get easier though. Of course we're just practicing in a class and our heads sit on a stand on the desk so it makes it awkward. Since I'm 6 feet tall.. and feel like I'm getting taller, it was especially hard for me! I basically had to sit on the floor and do it. Lately people just keep reminding me how tall I am. My teacher even said today.. "Its going to be harder for you because you're really tall". Later at work tonight a customer needed some help.. to get my attention guess what she says? " Hey tall girl, I need your help!" It seems I'm always being talked about as a freak. I swear.. Its been a huge issue for me lately! Hopefully I get over it soon.
Not alot has happened lately. Along with Jamie and Cohen, Kim, Craig, Addy, and Luke will be here soon. I'm so excited to see them! So maybe I'll have something to write about. Here are a few pictures..

Well, here I am updating my blog. :o) Sorry Its been so long.. I'm getting really excited for Christmas so we get to see everyone that moved away to Michigan! I can't wait to see little Cohen and Jamie in a few weeks! It will be good to see them again. Not much is new here.. as usual. Carson's favorite word is still "shut up" and "stupid" is a common word lately.. Carson is still way into Cars. The other day he came home with 6 or 7 Cars from the movie "cars" and a cute little semi that they all fit in. Randy still spoils him like crazy! But he's doing good. He'll be so happy to see all of his cousins soon. Halloween is coming up. :o) Carson is going to be a boxer this year. Great choice in costume for this little guy.. I know. But he looks way cute in it. I just hope no one ends up with a black eye halloween night. When he puts his gloves on.. he's ready to go! As for me, I'm doing good too. Still just working and going to school. In class the other day we learned how to give head massages. We're supposed to do a 5 minute head massage before haircuts. So.. I know you're all going to come get your hair cut now! :o) Right? Seriously.. no one else does that! Its kinda weird. Here's a cute little video of Carson doing what he does best..

So it's been awhile since I've updated, I know. Well, Carson and I are doing good. I just started my hair program today and I'm really excited. Coming January I'll be looking for Models for me to work on. :o) I know everyone is WAY excited!
Some of us went boating the other day and had alot of fun! I really did! I tried wakeboarding, and I love it. I actually got up for maybe 20 seconds? I was pretty proud of myself. Jack pulled some of us behind the boat in tubes. I rode with Loryn and Carson. Loryn loved it, but Carson got scared.. I'll post pictures. It was me, Carson, Dad, Jack, Lindzi, Loryn, Hadlee, Alyssa, and Todd. It was fun spending time with everyone!
If any of you are wondering what is going on with Randy and I... I filed for divorce a few weeks ago. Randy and I still need to take a divorce class and soon I'll be single again. I'm not so sure how I feel about it at the moment! But other than that I'm doing good. I'm glad I've gone back to school. Soon I'll be able to cut Carson's hair! :o)
Carson is also doing good.. He loves it here at Grandma and "Papas" house. He spends alot of time outside in the sandbox, "working", he says. He has so many trucks out there! The potty training thing isn't really working for me. I think we have another Tyson on our hands. :o) Just Kidding. So I'm still working on that. My mom has been a big help. She'll set the timer for him and make him go every half hour or so. I may never make it on my own!
Oh yeah, we also started our softball league again! We have some good players this time. We're back to Kaysville. Coming from Layton to Kaysville is a big change. Kaysville umpires are so strict, not cool at all!

I heard somebody mention today that we all have blogs, but nobody is updating them.. So here goes. :o)

So... Melissa, Kylie, Elle, and Kohl came to visit the first part of the month. We still have a few weeks left with them and I'm so happy that we do! It's been fun having them around again. Although Carson and Elle have a hard time playing together and being nice, it's fun to see them together. We do however hear alot of screaming, fighting, and the word "shut up" between the two of them! Hopefully one day they learn to just love.. and leave out the hate part! Kylie and Makenzie have been glued to eachother from the start. They came into my school and let me put acrylic nails on them. I think they turned out cute.. They were there from 3:30 to 8, which was probably a really hard thing for 2 girls to do! I'm glad they came in, they helped me out alot. Little Kohl has been so cute to have around here. I've missed the little ones so much. We all wish Addy and Luke were here so we could give them hugs and kisses too! Soon though.. We went to the Dinosaur Park down in Ogden the other day. It was alot of fun for the kids. It felt like we were on a field trip with all of those kids though! Carson LOVES dinosaurs and I'm afraid he's got Elle hooked! Thats really the only exciting thing we've done since they've been here. The pool is now open, so hopefully we'll have a nice day so we can actually swim. Its been cold the last few days.. We're planning on going to the zoo in a week or so. I'm excited. I've seen the Dinosaur Park so many times and change would be nice! A few nights ago Erik stopped by later at night and picked up Kohl to play with him. Kohl is such a cute baby. He just loves to laugh!

New blog..

Well, I've finally decided to start a blog. Everyone else has one, so why not! There's nothing really new around here. I'm still just working and going to school. I had a 2 week break, which was nice. But its good to be back, I guess. School is going slow. Mostly because I never have anyone to come in. I think I've destroyed Jenny's nails, and my mom is tired of coming in and sitting for 3 hours. However, I think Erik is planning on getting some nice blended tips! To add length to his nails. Right Erik? Grandma Pat has been coming in to get her nails painted.. to pass off my polish changes. So at least I'll get that part out of the way. I still love my job. Its nothing much, but its fun. I actually think working puts me in a better mood. I've made some good friends... even if they are young! One new thing... Carson got a bike, and he LOVES It. It's a cute little yellow and black Tonka bike. We bought him an awesome helmet with pads to go along with it. They're pirates of the Caribbean... Elle will love them! I'll have to post of a picture of him with all of his gear on later. At first he was a little scared, but now he rides around like a big kid! He especially likes going around the kitchen counter..
